The UK is prepared to move forward with using the total value of immobilized Russian assets to aid Ukraine's defense operations, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has stated.

In a shared declaration, the officials of the Britain, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany emphasized that this coordinated action would heighten pressure on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and compel the Russian Federation to engage in negotiations.

They clarified that the move would be executed in tight collaboration with the America.

British penalties have blocked in excess of £25bn of Russia's resources since Moscow initiated its comprehensive attack against Ukraine in 2022. However, until now, resources provided to Ukraine using Russia's funds had solely been taken from earnings and returns generated on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, the French Republic, and Germany were united in their goal to advance efforts toward employing the complete amount of the seized Russian sovereign funds to end the war.

He added that further restrictions in the coming days and weeks would apply more pressure on Russia.

This declaration is subsequent to EU representatives gathered in Copenhagen last week to debate employing frozen Russia's assets for a 140-billion-euro loan to the Ukrainian nation.

Recently, President Donald Trump encouraged international partners to seize or employ frozen Russian funds, based on news outlets.

The value of seized Russian holdings in the European Union is calculated to be almost €211bn.

The Russian government carried out large-scale bombardments all over the Ukrainian territory on that day, resulting in power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the city, and eight other regions.

While commending the Britain's firm backing for the Ukrainian government, he noted it should indicate firmly that it would take part in the system, as well as apply further restrictions on the Russian Federation.
