That will not be happening during this tour, after the hosts' dominant victory by 82 runs in Adelaide put the hosts 3-0 up for the fourth consecutive series on Australian grounds.

England's famous supporters' group, the vocal contingent, have 3,000 fans flying out for the last two matches in the SCG and MCG.

Furthermore, other tour groups who will celebrate the holidays in Australia, as well as loved ones heading for a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

Fans with Booked Tickets

Four fans named Alex, Sam, Rory and Katie are four such fans.

The four siblings had their travel arrangements and match passes arranged for the Boxing Day and New Year Tests "a full year in advance", hoping to witness a long-awaited triumph.

Sadly, they've observed Australia outplay the visitors in just 11 days from their house in their hometown.

"All my colleagues has been making comments regarding the concluded contest for the last two weeks," stated Sam Ryding.

"We always thought that we would have something to play for still when we got there."

Lowered Expectations

Hope was abundant regarding the team's prospects of breaking a 15-year drought for a series win in Australia ahead of the tour.

However, the situation is now staring down the barrel of extending their winless run in the country to 19 games when the fourth Test gets under way in the MCG on Christmas Day.

Ben Stokes' side - and their supporters - will be desperate to avoid a clean sweep.

It was mentioned that the "entertainment" of head coach the positive style of play in recent times had "reinvigorated" Test cricket for England fans.

Yet the fans said they had low expectations for the fourth and fifth Tests - and all they are requesting from the players is "a bit of fight".

"Commentators consistently points it out, but it all is about fortitude. 'Bazball' has been turned into a buzzword now that is just, like, nonsense cricket," added Rory.

"Over the course of five days, you should dig in. Chasing balls 'outside the line has never been in the coaching manuals, and that is largely because of the frontline batsmen."

Looking Ahead

Prompted about he believed England will secure a victory in this contest, one fan responded: "It appears the Australians are superior currently."

"There is going to have to be multiple performers that makes a significant contribution and makes a big impact."

Regardless of the result, the siblings are still excited about the trip.

"It will be a fantastic experience nonetheless," said Katie. "We have to go with that mindset."

"Obviously it is unfortunate we aren't fighting for more, but we have made a substantial financial commitment as it is."

"We'll enjoy spending the festive season in Australia. This will be a new experience for us abroad at this time of year."

An educator, Katie is intent on maximizing the long-haul travel as part of her seasonal break.

"Should the cricket disappoint, I can play golf to rely on," she added.
