Loyal supporters of Ariana Grande are demanding that a person who leaped a barricade and seized the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being detained", though official papers indicated that he was scheduled to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed features videos of him disturbing other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney performance in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed experiencing PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

A number of supporters also criticised guards at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while others demanded social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Premiere Information

In videos circulating online, Grande appeared startled when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.
