Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
Arsenal's 10-game winning streak was ended by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, but will the English top division leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.
In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's latest record, the new release, is available on the weekend.
Football and Family Life
Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of several charity football games down the years - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "The team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."
Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.
"I will not force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer team," he added.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a period too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our team for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Forecasts
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to be patient for their star's comeback from injury but their attack is now more potent with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this fixture will be quite close, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
This suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.
West Ham's sole away victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's coach.
Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - will it be West Ham extending their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I will go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's forecast: 2-0
The guest's prediction: The home team are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign began, but they have surprised a few people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their past four games.
My son told me to get Bees forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.
The Bees have not had great success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. Brentford will try to attack on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1
AI's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.
They have got plenty of talent in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.
As for the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.
The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the close of October.
However I am not do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.
Considering the home side's home record, the only team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a bad streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

This is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
