England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a national radio breakfast show.

This year's winner will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.

The ceremony will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being on the shortlist for this honour is incredible," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - while still 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a big honour," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
